Chinese Tea Eggs
Instructions
- Place eggs in a pot of water and bring to a boil.
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, turn off the heat, keep the lid on, and let the eggs cook for 5 minutes.
- Take out the eggs and use a spoon to gently whack the shell of each egg to create a web-like pattern for the sauce to penetrate the egg shell.
- Add the eggs back into the pot, along with all the other ingredients.
- Simmer for 60 minutes.
- Let the pot cool and refrigerate overnight.
