Instructions
- Soak the dried dates in warm water for 15 minutes to rehydrate them.
- Start boiling a pot of water for steaming.
- Carefully use a knife to slice open the dates on one side to remove the pits while keeping the date in one piece.
- Make the dough by mixing the glutinous rice flour with warm water until a dough forms. The dough should feel soft and smooth, not dry or sticky.
- Pinch off a small piece of the dough and tuck it into the center of each date. Close and gently squeeze the sides of the dates until the dough "smiles" out of the date.
- Place the stuffed dates onto a plate and steam for 10 minutes.
